In the European Interreg project Regions4food, Yookr is a knowledge partner of the province of Limburg. Within Regions 4food we are working on boosting the relationship between digitization and the agro and food value chain. This stimulates technological innovations and the development of new tools and skills.
Data-driven growth
Data is becoming an increasingly important resource for the food industry. Insight into data leads to technological innovations and the development of new tools and skills. The growing data volume and the diverse nature of data on food value chains requires specific procedures in integration and management. Based on data and cognitive technologies, economic opportunities can be better identified and exploited. In addition, this promotes the innovation-driven growth of companies.
The aim of the Regions4Food project is to boost the relationship between digitization and the agro and food value chain. This means, for example, digitizing existing processes with the help of sensors, robotics and artificial intelligence. But also the use and value of large amounts of data (Big Data) for knowledge development, market information and management.
Working together for the future
To achieve this, 7 regions have decided to join forces and face new challenges together. These regions exchange experiences and develop work plans that create synergies and opportunities. In addition, best practices are identified that have been implemented in other sectors. Partners work closely with stakeholders to interconnect regional innovation ecosystems. Best practices for each region will be integrated into their action plans to improve the management of targeted policy resources and implement projects that contribute to the achievement of the objective.
