From the IoT \u2018Internet of Things\u2019 to the<\/strong>IoA \u2018Internet of Agriculture\u2019<\/a><\/strong>. <\/strong> <\/p>\n

Farmers today<\/h3>\n

Agriculture and horticulture are important economic sectors in the German-Dutch border region. New social challenges affect the sectors intensively. New guidelines for sustainable land management are generating additional spending on farms. As a result, the number of small farms is decreasing and the number of large farms is growing. Farmers have to develop into “farm managers” with all the new challenges, requirements and obligations related to production quality, monitoring, documentation and labour safety. Participating companies in the ‘Internet of Agriculture’ want to tap into and further expand the (inter)national market potential of Internet of Things solutions, network and sensor technologies related to commercial applications in agriculture. This can increase operational farm safety and optimise maintenance and control options and soil quality know-how. <\/p>\n

    Yookr sensors and dashboard<\/h3>\n

    Yookr is already active in several Interreg projects. Within the Internet of Agriculture project, Yookr’s software platform will form the basis for the dashboard application to be developed. Furthermore, we will optionally look for sensors that can measure oxygen, pH, nitrite and ammonia in the soil. This is optional and not part of the original project plan but will make the results of the project sensors even better. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
